The writer remembers a Somalian friend Sheikh Mohamed Yasin said that he had many years ago debated with a Christian friend who finally converted to Islam after debating with him for three (3) days on the truth of Islam and Christianity. For the 3rd day debate,  both agreed that if either one can convince his respective religion's truth, the other will convert. The morning of the 3rd-day debate, Sheikh Yasin did a tahajjud prayer asking Allah's help and guidance. There was an initial deadlock on the 3rd-day debate, but with Allah's help, something crossed his mind to talk about the cycle of human creation. Sheikh Yasin used an analogy similar to earth, wind, fire, and water (the 4 elements as some believed but take note, Allah created Adam from Earth), and human also undergoes similar cycle. According to him, for human, there are four (4) intervention or cycle as explained by him as follows:-

1) Without the intervention of father and mother, like the creation of Adam by Allah;

2) With the intervention of only father, like the creation of Eve from the rips of Adam;

3) Creation of children through the intervention of father and mother, like the children of Adam; and finally;

4) Birth of Jesus, without a father when the Angel Gabriel said to Marry that she will give birth to a child without man intervention as related by Allah in Sura Mariam (19:35) as follows:

Thus, the final result is as follows (refer to the table below)

1) No, No

2) Yes, No

3) Yes, Yes and lastly

4) No, Yes

Simply, if there is a No, No, the corresponding result should be Yes, Yes. Likewise, when there is a Yes, No, the corresponding result is No, Yes.

Using the above analogy, he finally managed to convince his friend to convert to Islam. Please note that this is just an analogy, and readers of this blog do not need to believe it as the writer is merely sharing his friend's experience in dealing with his Christian friend. Most importantly, the lesson learned here is how my friend managed to convince his friend to convert to Islam. Maybe, Muslim scholars who read this blog page can share their views on this analogy. If this analogy is somehow against Islam's view, I will be glad to delete this analogy to avoid any controversy.

Walllahu Alam, only Allah knows the Truth.

3) How to locate the Juzuk using a mathematical formula

Another interesting discovery (from another blog) that the Writer would like to share is using the mathematical formulas for Al Quran readers to zoom to the correct page of the juzuk. What is juzuk? See the image below:

Unfortunately, the Writer does not have the English translation of the Al-Quran, but when you read the Al Quran, you can go to Juz 20 on page 382. The simple formula is as follows:



4) Interesting Theory About Sura Al Muddathhir (74: 30) with the ayat (translation) "Over It Are  Nineteen)"

We shall first view the ayat in Arabic and then the English transaction from Sura 74 from ayat 1 to 30. Thereafter, we watch the video clip which the Writer found on Youtube. Perhaps, this video may be what Allah meant by " Over it is nineteen (19)".

5. The Quran about the Seas and Rivers

Modern science has discovered that there is a barrier between two different seas meet in the places where two different seas meet. This barrier divides the two seas to have their own temperature, salinity, and density. For example, Mediterranean seawater is warm, saline, and less dense than Atlantic ocean water. When Mediterranean sea water enters the Atlantic over the Gibraltar sill, it moves several hundred kilometers into the Atlantic at a depth of about 1000 meters with its own warm, saline, and less dense characteristics. The Mediterranean water stabilizes at this depth (see figure 1 below)

The Mediterranean seawater enters the Atlantic over the Gibraltar sill with its own warm, saline, and less dense characteristics, because of the barrier that distinguishes between them. Temperatures are in degrees Celsius.

Although there are large waves, strong currents, and tides in these seas, they do not mix or transgress this barrier.

Now let's see what Allah has to say about two types of water!


Al-Rahman (55: 19 - 21)

But when the Quran speaks about the divider between fresh and saltwater, it mentions " a forbidding partition" with the barrier. Allah also said this in the Quran..!.


Al-Furqan (25:53)

Why did the Quran mentioned the partition when speaking about the divider between fresh and saltwater but did not mention it when speaking about the divider between the two seas?

Modern science has discovered that when fresh (sweet) and salt water meet in estuaries, the situation is somewhat different from what is found in places where two seas meet. It has been discovered that what distinguishes fresh water from salt water in estuaries is the "pycnocline zone with a marked density discontinuity separating the two layers" This partition (zone of separation) has a different salinity from the fresh water and from the saltwater. (See figure 2 below)

This information has been discovered only recently, using advanced equipment to measure temperature, salinity, density, oxygen dissolubility, etc. The human eye cannot see the difference between the two seas that meet; rather, the two seas appear to us as one homogeneous sea. Likewise, the human eye cannot see the division of water in estuaries into three kinds: freshwater, saltwater, and the partition (zone of separation)

Allah mentions this repeatedly in sura Al-Rahman..!

Al-Rahman (55:21)

Al Rahman is a beautiful and effective chapter of the Quran that begins with a qualitative name of Divine Being Al-Rahman (The Most Affectionate). The entire chapter speaks of His Affection and beneficence.

It declares that Quran is the revelation of Al-Rahman, Who created human-being particularly Muhammad (Sallallahu alaihi wasallam), the last grand and dignified Prophet. Al-Rahman taught human-being.

Then the chapter deals with the means which Allah has created for the physical sustenance of man. All these things have been done by Allah to provide physical benefits to human beings. When Allah cared for man's material welfare, He could not neglect the spiritual upliftment of human-being.

In this chapter, man has been discussed, but another creation of God, Jinn has been too addressed. It means Quran’s to guide both Jinn and men, and Prophet Muhammad (Sallallaho alaihi wasallam) is the prophet of both Jinn and men.

This verse has been repeated after mentioning any material or spiritual favor or bounty asking, ‘Which then, of the favors of your Lord will you deny’ (0 Jinn and Men).

Then the end of guilty people has been explained. Such people who have rejected the spiritual benefits would meet their evil end. Then, in the end, the reward that will accrue to the faithful has been mentioned.

What is most interesting about this surah is ayat "Then which of the favors of your Lord will ye deny? Which is repeated more than 30 times. Actually, it is a warning from Allah, and there is the reason why Allah kept repeating the ayat as a reminder to all mankind.

Let's look at the entire translation of the Al -Quran on sura Al-Rahman (55:1-78)

In (or with) the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful.

55.01 (God) Most Gracious!

55.02 It is He Who has taught the Qur’an.

55.03 He has created man:

55.04 He has taught him speech (and intelligence).

55.05 The sun and the moon follow courses (exactly) computed;

55.06 And the herbs and the trees – both (alike) bow in adoration.

55.07 And the Firmament has He raised high, and He has set up the Balance (of Justice),

55.08 In order that ye may not transgress (due) balance.

55.09 So establish weight with justice and fall not short in the balance.

55.10 It is He Who has spread out the earth for (His) creatures:

55.11 Therein is fruit and date-palms, producing spathes (enclosing dates);

55.12 Also corn, with (its) leaves and stalk for fodder, and sweet-smelling plants.

55.13 Then which of the favors of your Lord will ye deny?

55.14 He created man from sounding clay like unto pottery,

55.15 And He created Jinns from fire free of smoke:

55.16 Then which of the favors of your Lord will ye deny?

55.17 (He is) Lord of the two Easts and Lord of the two Wests:

55.18 Then which of the favors of your Lord will ye deny?

55.19 He has let free the two bodies of flowing water, meeting together:

55.20 Between them is a Barrier which they do not transgress:

55.21 Then which of the favors of your Lord will ye deny?

55.22 Out of them come Pearls and Coral:

55.23 Then which of the favors of your Lord will ye deny?

55.24 And His are the Ships sailing smoothly through the seas, lofty as mountains:

55.25 Then which of the favors of your Lord will ye deny?

55.26 All that is on earth will perish:

55.27 But will abide (forever) the Face of thy Lord,- full of Majesty, Bounty, and Honour.

55.28 Then which of the favors of your Lord will ye deny?

55.29 Of Him seeks (its need) every creature in the heavens and on earth: every day in (new) Splendour doth He (shine)!

55.30 Then which of the favors of your Lord will ye deny?

55.31 Soon shall We settle your affairs, O both ye worlds!

55.32 Then which of the favors of your Lord will ye deny?

55.33 O ye assembly of Jinns and men! If it be ye can pass beyond the zones of the heavens and the earth, pass ye! not without authority shall ye be able to pass!

55.34 Then which of the favors of your Lord will ye deny?

55.35 On you will be sent (O ye evil ones twain!) a flame of fire (to burn) and a smoke (to choke): no defence will ye have:

55.36 Then which of the favors of your Lord will ye deny?

55.37 When the sky is rent asunder, and it becomes red like ointment:

55.38 Then which of the favors of your Lord will ye deny?

55.39 On that Day no question will be asked of man or Jinn as to his sin.

55.40 Then which of the favors of your Lord will ye deny?

55.41 (For) the sinners will be known by their marks: and they will be seized by their forelocks and their feet.

55.42 Then which of the favors of your Lord will ye deny?

55.43 This is the Hell which the Sinners deny:

55.44 In its midst and in the midst of boiling hot water will they wander round!

55.45 Then which of the favors of your Lord will ye deny?

55.46 But for such as fear the time when they will stand before (the Judgment Seat of) their Lord, there will be two Gardens-

55.47 Then which of the favors of your Lord will ye deny?-

55.48 Containing all kinds (of trees and delights);-

55.49 Then which of the favors of your Lord will ye deny?-

55.50 In them (each) will be two Springs flowing (free);

55.51 Then which of the favors of your Lord will ye deny?-

55.52 In them will be Fruits of every kind, two and two.

55.53 Then which of the favors of your Lord will ye deny?

55.54 They will recline on Carpets, whose inner linings will be of rich brocade: the Fruit of the Gardens will be near (and easy of reach).

55.55 Then which of the favors of your Lord will ye deny?

55.56 In them will be (Maidens), chaste, restraining their glances, whom no man or Jinn before them has touched;-

55.57 Then which of the favors of your Lord will ye deny?-

55.58 Like unto Rubies and coral.

55.59 Then which of the favors of your Lord will ye deny?

55.60 Is there any Reward for Good – other than Good?

55.61 Then which of the favors of your Lord will ye deny?

55.62 And besides these two, there are two other Gardens-

55.63 Then which of the favors of your Lord will ye deny?-

55.64 Dark-green in color (from plentiful watering).

55.65 Then which of the favors of your Lord will ye deny?

55.66 In them (each) will be two Springs pouring forth water in continuous abundance:

55.67 Then which of the favors of your Lord will ye deny?

55.68 In them will be Fruits, and dates and pomegranates:

55.69 Then which of the favors of your Lord will ye deny?

55.70 In them will be fair (Companions), good, beautiful;-

55.71 Then which of the favors of your Lord will ye deny?-

55.72 Companions restrained (as to their glances), in (goodly) pavilions;-

55.73 Then which of the favors of your Lord will ye deny?-

55.74 Whom no man or Jinn before them has touched;-

55.75 Then which of the favors of your Lord will ye deny?-

55.76 Reclining on green Cushions and rich Carpets of beauty.

55.77 Then which of the favors of your Lord will ye deny?

55.78 Blessed be the name of thy Lord, full of Majesty, Bounty, and Honour.
